Desperate for money to save his sick Grandfather, a South Texas farmhand resorts to the extreme: He breaks his own arm to smuggle a cast made of cocaine across the Mexican border.Javi (Patrick Mackie), lives and works in the fields of South Texas with his grandfather Arturo (Hector Uribe, No Country For Old Men). Desperate for money, Javi crosses into Mexico and meets with Lorena's brother, Adelio (Adrian Gonzalez, VIDA, STARZ) an up and coming member of a cartel. The cartel offers Javi $10,000 to walk across the border wearing a cast made of cocaine - but there's a catch. First they will break his arm. For the sake of his grandfather, Javi resorts to the unthinkable. TEJANO becomes a story of survival, as Javi evades the border patrol, swims the Rio Grande river and overcomes the border wall only to find out that the cartel has different plans for him.
