Jane Eyreis a famous novel written by the femalewriter Charlotte Bronte .And Jane Eyreis widelyconsidered as anarrative story of the author herself. Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character.
Jane is full of rebellious spirit when she is very little.Jane’s life always seems very miserable—being abused by her cousin John,being treated unfairly by her aunt,being punished at Lowood school.Having experiencing all this ,Jane is still a stubborn girl who dares to against and purse freedom and equality.She is an independent girl having strong self-esteem.
Later,she comes to the Thornfield Hallthrough her own effort,and becomes a governess.Also,she falls in love with the employer--Mr Rochester.But later Jane knows that he will marry Miss Ingram.In fact ,which is designed by Mr Rochester to test Jane’s affection.When they are holding the wedding,a crazy woman comes out,who is Rochester’s wife.Jane is so sad that she decides to tear herself away from Mr Rochester because their marriage is wrong morally.After leaving the Thornfield Hall,Jane met her cousins and inherits a sum of money.A cousin of her,called St John Rivers,a priest,propose to her out of duty but not out of love ,Jane declines him because she still loves Mr Rochester deep in the heart.She goes back to Thornfield Hall only to find everything has been destroied by a fire,which is set by Bertha Mason.Her lover Mr Rochester loses arms and gets blind.This time,Jane chooses to stay with her lover and look after him,they reunion and live happily.
In my point of view ,this is absolutely not a simple Cinderella type of fiction.,in the 19thcentury’s England society,women’s society status is very low,especially for Jane,she is neither beautiful nor wealthy,but she still can keep her independent personality,rather than appearing like a servant.How can she gain the Mr Rochester’s love?Because her noble spirit,her braveness and wisdom.Also,Jane is such a kind girl that she still love Mr Rochester no matter what he becomes.May be true love has nothing to do with wealth,apperence and so on.True love means never leave or forsake each other forever.
