《Owner of a lonely heart》
第二季第十一集
Forty years ago, the Beatles asked the world a simple question. They wanted to know where all the lonely people came from. My latest theory is that a great many of them came from the hospitals, more precisely, the surgical ward of hospitals.
这一集我最想记住的感动之处：
①从监狱送来急救的女杀人犯，吞下四片剃刀。手术中CHristina说难以相信会有人做出这样伤害自己的傻事。Bailey解释说她不仅仅是蹲监狱，她在关禁闭，你试试，锁在一个没有窗户的房间一个月，一天二十三小时没人理你，怎么不疯狂。女囚犯为了能从囚室里出来 有个人可以说说话，她不怕吞刀片。
而她害怕男朋友离开自己，害怕自己孤单得一无所有，也不得已帮男友做犯法的事。真是够傻啊！
手术后女囚竟然再次寻死，吞下一枚灯泡，喉咙卡着咳血 以至奄奄一息。这颗心是有多孤独和绝望啊。镜头中我看到她右手手指写下LOVE，被笔划掉了。应该是觉得爱得不值得，对爱死心了。我觉得她是可悲的可怜的。CHristina之前对她说的一句，也许孤独有时候是好的。
当你一个人的时候。
因为。。。
“If Emily dies…”
“ If Emily dies it will be horrible. But if Emily dies and you are not here... ”
“I can’t even hold them.”
“ But you can sit there with them, and talk to them let them know they are not alone in this world. That's all they need. That's all anybody...”
“…I think I know how to help Charlotte.”
“it's called Co-bedding. Hospitals sometimes do it with twins when one of them is sick “
“And the other one...gets better?”
“It helps. I don't really know, sometimes babies get stressed in the ICUs(Intensive Care Unit) from all the activity. This way there’s someone there to comfort them, to be there with them.”
因为。。。
Even the tiniest life need company to survive.即使是最小的生命，也需要陪伴，就算只是听见彼此的呼吸，也可以相互鼓励 努力活下去。
结语：
No man is an island entire unto himself.
Boil down that island talk and he just meant that all anyone needs is someone to step in.
And let us know we’re not alone.
