Inside Out

In the film we know five emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Joy comes off as the boss of the group,and she thinks only when Riley’s life is full of happiness is it a fine day.However, throughout the film we find out every emotion is important to Riley's character,especially sadness, and without it she starts to act very weird.

As far as I’m concerned,sadness is indispensable.One reason is sadness can help people learn to show sympathy for others.Just like only Sadness can really understand the pain of Bing Bong forgotten by Riley and help him go out instead of in the pain forever. Besides,sadness is a way of communication and makes people regain happiness. Sadness can also help people express their depression,and they don’t need to pretend to be happy.

One important scene that comes to my mind is when Riley’s favourite hockey team preforms not well and she sits in the tree sadly. Because of feeling Riley’s sadness,her parents go to comfort her,and share her sadness.As is known well to us,share sorrow with others, and half of it will be left.Under their comfort,Riley begins being happy again.

What is the another vital moment in the film is Riley can not bear the life in the new city and decides to leave home alone.Factually,when her parents look for her here and there,she has already got on the bus.However, with the help of Sadness she gives up,she knows she should have a conversation with her parents.She runs home fast and rushes to hug with her parents tightly.Sadness help her express her depression,and she says she doesn’t like the life now.What she doesn't expect is that her parents, too.They have a heart-to-heart communication and comprehend each other. Their family phenomenon comes to beginning warm and harmonious again.

Maybe everyone likes happiness,but life can't be just happy.As growing up,we will have many different emotions.However, proper negative emotions,like sadness,will also have an positive influence.
