I simply cannot believe that the director of District 9 also made Elysium. Elysium is perhaps the worst science fiction utopia movie I've seen. There is little to none character development, and the character relationship is also non-existent. The focus of the movie changes too often and even Max seems to be unable to develop any sort of connection with the audience. The movie completely forgets the beauty of science fiction films, which are the settings and philosophy behind the worlds, instead Elysium focuses on mindless action, they might as well make it a War movie. Just a horrible movie overall, and I had a very difficult time getting through it all.
