It is a shame that some feminists label Katherine as a fighter for freedom. It is wrong, under whatever circumstances, to kill three innocent people for merely selfish reasons. All she cares about is only her own interests, for which she could even sacrifice her lover, Sebastian. Katherine has no shame, no heart, and no conscience. In one word, she is just a bitch.
While the ruthless female antagonist makes the audience sick, the male antagonist is much more pathetic. On the one hand, Katherine committed all the three murders, and Sebastian is at most a accomplice. On the other hand, Sebastian has the courage to confess everything, which is arguably the most awesome scene in the movie.
