【关于Will】
Edward Norton版Will够冷静,但是却无法让人感受到这个角色在经历过事件之后应该有的一种恐惧和不安感。从他的脸上,我仅仅只看到了“冷”、“静”二字,和一种竭力想要展现出来却又不给力的不安。更多的是让人觉得,他只不过是一个调查案子的普通探员,他之前与此事一点瓜葛都没有,他只是以一种轻松打酱油却努力装作很痛苦的调调在拙劣地表演。
William Petersen版,嗯,我想他就是Thomas Harris笔下的那个Will Graham。
【关于某场重要的戏】
就是Will去监狱见Hannibal的那场戏。 中,这场戏的安排更为忠于原著,但Will在见到Hannibal之前内心的紧张和不安却少有体现。原文描写“Graham wanted to see Dr. Lecter asleep. He wanted time to brace himself. If he felt Lecter's madness in his head, he had to contain it quickly, like a spill.”。而中则省略了开头Will与医生谈话的内容,直接切到牢房内。而从Will进入牢房到坐下的短短10秒时间,全白色场景营造的一种看似宁静的气氛、导演的镜头拍摄角度和William的表演精准地体现了角色此刻局促不安的内心活动。
再说到Will结束和Hannibal谈话的那场戏。
原文为“He was numb except for dreading the loss of numbness. Walking with his head down, speaking to no one, he could hear his blood like a hollow drumming of wings. It seemed a very short distance to the outside. This was only a building; there were only five doors between Lecter and the outside. He had the absurd feeling that Lecter had walked out with him. He stopped outside the entrance and looked around him, assuring himself that he was alone.” 中,画面白色冷调与第一、第三视角的切换穿插,把“走”加强为“从走到跑”,导演无比巧妙地将角色内心的矛盾和深层次恐惧放大,最后通过视角对草地的感官恢复来结束。而中对这段的处理,仅仅只是通过一个短廊,诺顿版Will没有任何不安、恐惧,反而显得有些气愤,让人觉得他只是一个受人顶撞了又要急匆匆赶去下个地点办事的探员,好像所有的一切依旧与他无关。
