noteworthy points~

episode 1 : In life, things are constantly changing and evolving.People change and it’s inevitable. Sometimes, we should enjoy the beauty of a standstill in life despite knowing that we’re at a standstill.

“ I’m the only one that hasn’t moved on “ 😢, tbh I think it’s quite hard and sad to come into acceptance that you’ve not changed since college and you’re the only one who’s left behind by the hustle and bustle of society and life. It was indeed upsetting to see how her friends forget their promises and were too busy to show up. Kaoru’s positive attitude to accept it and magnanimity to forgive was certainly praiseworthy as most of us would be left with hard / bitter feelings!

The episode teaches us that in life, we’re set for disappointments and sometimes, things don’t turn out the way we wish they did.

“As we get older, we lose those butterflies and feelings” “yea, that’s part of getting older “ If that’s part of growing old, then I don’t wanna grow old 🥺. It speaks volumes on how when we’re older ; strong feeling and emotions are diluted and aren’t that intense. I hope that when I’m older, these strong emotions and feelings wouldn’t be gone. Life would be a bore to see it without colour and emotions.

“when we get older, we forget how to believe things” Oh god, that hit the nail on the head. As I grew older, I noticed that I stopped trusting and believing stuff too quickly. Korilakkuma believed in aliens and wanted to meet one, however Kaoru didn’t believe in them and questioned it. I guess we’ve just gone through so much in life that we’ve forgot how to accept and trust things just like when we were kids.

“if people had a price tag, I wonder how much I’m worth” : for a PG show, I think this topic is pretty deep. Like woah, although the show didn’t go into detail on how much you’re worth in monetary value, but it’s worth noting that the show presented a wide spectrum of feelings. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, on some days, we would have these deeper and darker thoughts.

“nothing stays the same I guess” : this was mentioned twice I think? my, it’s a big understatement! It’s nice to see a show meant for kids educating them so much about life and how it’s so dynamic. oh gosh, nothing ever stays the same and we’re always expected to continue moving on with life~

I loved every single part of the show and it was quite therapeutic! Kaoru’s expectations for her life and how she feels that she’s not following the perfect path that all women her age should are following, is so relatable and beautiful to watch. I highly recommend this show that’s short, sweet and heartwarming! 🥺

p.s hands down, kiiroritori is my favourite character! 🐤🤍
