This was altogether a wholesome 电视连续剧. However, I do have some problems with it. I found 钟立行这个人物, humanly speaking, 过于完美了, thus hardly a realistic or believable protagonist. I respect his character in theory, but doubt its existence. He is not a marble superhero or divine, so why is this one individual saving the day in every circumstance? As a minor note, his refusal to meet the family which benefited from his sister's heart would really be considered impolite in America.
I thought 刘敏 was portrayed to be more of a heroine than she really was. Suicide is never the answer, but a selfish act of self-relief. Especially given that she had a dependent daughter, she created more problems for others by dying than living. I also didn't appreciate the fact that she never openly--at least not told through her letter--admitted her own wrongdoing. This inaction seemed inconsistent with her supposedly honorable character. It is also interesting to note that while 陈光远 and 刘敏 committed similar crimes in nature, one went jail a criminal after open confession, the other died a hero writing about all the excuses and sentiments of the world but never mentioning her personal responsibility. 只让我难以理解.
While I think some of the characters were poorly constructed, all of the actors performed well. 尤勇和陈瑾演的真棒！
